In outdoor wireless backhaul, IP surveillance, and enterprise network installations, vulnerable Ethernet devices are constantly exposed to electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical surges. The Ubiquiti Ethernet Surge Protection Outdoor (ETH-SP-G2) is a purpose-built, cost-effective surge suppression solution designed to absorb transient currents and safely divert high-voltage surges away from critical networking hardware.

High-Speed Data Protection and PoE Compatibility

Engineered with two passive, surge-protected RJ45 female connectors, the ETH-SP-G2 supports high-speed data transmission rates up to 2.5 Gbps. It provides seamless Power over Ethernet (PoE) passthrough without interrupting power delivery to connected outdoor access points, security cameras, or wireless bridges.

Advanced ESD and Surge Suppression Capabilities

Featuring a DC spark-over voltage of 90V @ 100V/s and a maximum impulse spark-over voltage of 700V @ 1kV/µs, the ETH-SP-G2 effectively absorbs transient electrical spikes. With a robust discharge current capacity rated at 10kA+ and an insulation resistance of 1G ohm @ 50V, it provides an essential layer of defense for outdoor network infrastructure.

Weatherproof Outdoor Enclosure and Easy Installation

Housed in an IPX5-rated weatherproof polycarbonate enclosure, the ETH-SP-G2 is built to withstand extreme environmental conditions from -30 to 65° C (-22 to 149° F). Compact and lightweight at only 80 g, it installs easily on poles or walls, offering a plug-and-play setup that integrates smoothly into any outdoor network deployment.
